About Me

Hi My name is Sharon and am the owner of this site.  I am still learning so please be patient with me as I stumble my way around this website store thingy :)

My interests are first and foremost Machine Embroidery, I love the heirloom style hence the name of my site.  I also love to do embroidery, cross stitch and hardanger by hand when I get time.  I am also a seamstress and make one of a kind infant and childrens clothing.  Many years ago I made a lot of clothes from ladies coats to mens leisure suits, but that was a lifetime ago.

I recently tried a freebie mylar design and am now totally hooked on Mylar embroidery.  I really need to try and spend some time stitching out some of the beautiful designs I purchased from Betty's Original Embroideries, but so far this new mylar craze is making my website very busy with sales.  I have played with different colors of mylar and the opal one is the best.  But I am going to try some gold and silver on some wedding and christmas designs to see what effects I can get.  A friend stitched out some linen tea towels yesterday and brought them over to show me today. She did a wonderful job and I am going to put them in my photo gallery later this evening.

I am an avid reader and also a bit of a computer buff.  Thank goodness I am retired so I can get time to pursue all my hobbies.

Thank you to everyone for your support and a very warm welcome to my site.

hi Sharon,
It looks great embroideries on mylar sheets!
I also knit on machines: do you know where I can find mylars for them,
Kind regards,
